Review Ravage : Return Of The Spectral Rider [Album] 2017

Review

American  Speedcrushers present their third full length. ” Return Of The Spectral Rider ” is a great , energetic record which follows all the traditions of the classic 80’s template. You have the mix of fast, frantic playing which has the chaotic ferocity of Judas Priest or Iron Miaden  and the energy and mosh friendly fun of early Speed Metal sounds along with chanted backing vocals etc. Musically Ravage  are great musicians,The vocals are aggressive, with a good tone forSpeed Metal, and what to say about drumming, of course an intense playing in every track. All the tracks are well thought out and brilliantly executed. It’s nothing you haven’t heard before but you can feel it’s full of passion and is testament to the Heavy Metal spirit.Ravage ‘s riffs are full and crunchy with solos very much from the Murray/Harris school , I really loved the retro Power Speed Metal sound of Ravage  not only because they reminded me of the past days of the Metal scene, but above all because they sound authentic and they have some really cool songs that I enjoy to listen to again and again.
